New York-based writers Rob Berliner and Aaron Kenny were already friends when they began collaborating the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theater Workshop. They first made waves there with songs inspired by a beloved film noir/animation hybrid; that project earned them a featured spot in the BMI's Smoker showcase. The duo has been approached to write for commercials, TV animation, web series, stage, concerts, and film since, and were recently honored by the Hollywood Music in Media Awards with a "Best Original Song - Short Film" nomination for their addition to the holiday songbook, "To A Brand New Year."

Between the two, their work has been performed on three continents, including at Feinstein's/54 Below, the SoundBites festival off Broadway, the Drama League Gala, and Huntington Theatre's Spotlight Spectacular. Aaron has been honored as a "Composer to Watch" by ASCAP, Rob is a four-time Kleban Prize finalist for Most Promising Lyricist, and together, they were among the final five finalists (out of over 300 submissions) for the 2021 Fred Ebb Award.
